Wanda Ruth Barnett

Wanda King Barnett, age 82 of Englewood passed away Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at her home. A native and lifelong resident of McMinn County, she was the daughter of the late Emmett and Edna Davis King. She was a lifelong member of Wildwood Baptist Church, where she served in many capacities, including church clerk for 50 plus years. She diligently served at the Englewood Food Pantry for 20 plus years. She was preceded in death by  her husband Eddie Lee Barnett ( March 5, 2013), father-in-law and mother-in-law, E.L. and Ruby Hairell Barnett; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ralph and Pat King and Roy and Bobbye King, and brother-in-law, Gordan Morgan.
Survivors include, Son and daughter-in-law, Travis and Alison Barnett of Englewood; two grandchildren and spouses, Lauren and Ty West and William and Ella Barnett; two great granddaughters, Sage Claire West and Annie Mae Barnett; two brothers and spouses, Larry and Betty King of Marietta, Ga. and Harold King of Englewood; one sister-in-law, Shirley Morgan of Athens, and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Anna Queen for her loving care and compassion to Wanda. The family would also like to thank Monica Howard, Stephanie Wilson and Amber Stiner of Hospice of Chattanooga, and Dr. Johnnie Carter and his staff of Englewood Family Practice.
Funeral service will be 3:00 pm Saturday, May 13, 2023  at Wildwood Baptist Church with Dr. Bill Vest officiating. The interment will follow at Wildwood cemetery. Pallbearers will be William Barnett, Ty West, Robby Davis, Dennis King, Eric King, Casey Wade and Richie Davis. The family will receive friends from 1-3 pm Saturday at the church before the service. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Our Daily Bread Food Pantry in care of Wildwood Baptist Church.
