Richard Allan Boyd

 RICHARD ALLAN BOYD, age 73 of Athens, Tenn. passed away Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2023, at his residence. Richard, originally from Knoxville, Tn., moved to Athens in 1965. He was a Vietnam Veteran serving in the United States Marine Corps and a Purple Heart Recipient. He was a local banker working with First National Bank and Athens Federal Community Bank for over 35 years. Richard was an avid classic car enthusiast and musician. He is preceded in death by his parents Harold and Denise Boyd, and his beautiful wife of 42 years Vicki Brown Boyd, and his partner Deb Anderson. He is survived by his two brothers, Robert and Kendall Boyd and his grandson Dakota J. Smith.

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, September 16, 2023 in the Chapel of Laycock-Hobbs Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Stephens officiating. Entombment will follow in McMinn Memory Gardens with Military Honors. The family will receive friends from 12:00 - 2:00 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home.
