Minnie Lorine Murr

November 15, 1936 — March 1, 2023

 Minnie Lorine Fairman Murr, age 86 of Athens passed away Wednesday, March 1, 2023 at her residence. A native and lifelong resident of McMinn County, she was the daughter of the late Thomas P. and Dollie S. Carter Fairman. She was of the Baptist faith, and was retired from Thomas and Betts. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grand mother, and was preceded in death by her two daughters Wanda L. Martin and Betty J. Williams. brothers and sisters,  William Fairman, William Carter Fairman, Daisy Mae Woods, Kathleen Josie Green, Wesley Norman Fairman, Maggie Fairman, Mancil Floyd Fairman, Margaret Sarah Fairman, and Rosella Whitmire.
Survivors include her sister, Faye Frances Hall of Athens; 
four grandchildren, Stephanie Goodman, Mary and Harvey Peel, Heather Smith, Nathan Smith; 10 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at McMinn Memory Gardens with the Rev. Roger Fairman officiating.
