Louise "Louie" Mason

STELLA LOUISE ( LOUIE ) MASON,  age 69 of Niota, Tenn. left this world to be with our Lord and Savior surrounded by  her loving family  on Tuesday,  Feb. 6, 2024, at Terra Bella  in Athens, Tenn.  She was a native of Monroe County, Tenn., resident most of her life of McMinn County, Tenn., a daughter of the late Willie Mason and Lorene Carroll and preceded in death by In Laws: Raymond and Elsie Mason, and  Brother: Ricky Mason,  She was a member of Niota United Methodist Church. She was a devoted wife and caregiver for many and loved her family and friends dearly. Louie was loved and cherished by many and will be deeply missed. She enjoyed going with her kids and grandkids to sporting events.. Special thanks to the staff of Terra Bella and Caris Hospice.

Survivors: Husband of 44 years whom she loved with all her heart: Donald Lee (Mas) Mason of Niota, Tenn., Bonus daughters: Kim Mason, Angela Loveless, Brother: David Mason of Athens, Tenn., Sisters: Lucy Graves of Athens, Tenn., Pat Randolph of Decatur, Tenn., Bobbye (Mike) Ward of Athens, Tenn. Shirley Wright of Riceville, Tenn., Betty Callahan of Cleveland, Anita (George) Parker of Old Fort, Tenn., Grandchildren: Gage and Summer Loveless that she thought the world of and many nephews and nieces. 

Funeral services will be 7:00 P.M. Friday, February 9, 2024, in the Chapel of Laycock-Hobbs Funeral Home  Rev. Alex Thompson officiating. Interment will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, February 10, 2024 in Niota Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Phil Graves,  Mike Ward,  Gage Loveless, Chris Callahan, Payne Freeman, Jackie Buckner, Chris Revis, Summer Loveless and Nick Ward.  The family will receive friends from 5-7 Friday in the funeral home.
