Kelley L Colvin

October 26, 1969 — January 27, 2026

Maryville

Kelley Colvin, of Maryville, Tennessee left this earth on January 27th, 2026 leaving behind a life defined by laughter, generosity, and an unforgettable spirit.

Kelley was known for his sharp wit, natural charm, and undeniable charisma. He loved life deeply and lived it fully, often as the life of the party—chatty, engaging, and quick with a joke. His eyes almost always carried a hint of mischief, and his laughter was never far behind. Kelley had a rare gift for making people feel welcome and included, whether he was among close friends or meeting someone for the first time.

Never afraid to take a chance, Kelley embraced life boldly and enthusiastically, believing it was meant to be experienced to the fullest. He gave freely of his time and energy, always willing to help others and volunteer in support of causes he believed in. His generosity came not from obligation, but from a genuine love of people and community.

Kelley was preceded in death by his father, Richard Colvin, as well as his grandparents, aunts, and uncles on both the Colvin and Moore sides of the family.

He is survived by his loving husband, Geoffrey Yeager, of Maryville, Tennessee; his mother, June Colvin, of Springhill, Tennessee, formerly of Athens, Tennessee; his brother, Richard “Dee” Colvin, and wife Melissa, of Springhill, Tennessee; and his beloved nieces, Emilee and Kimberlee, both of Springhill, Tennessee. He is also survived by numerous cousins across Arkansas, Georgia, and Tennessee—and by his “wild” and much-loved dog, Bucky, who brought him constant joy.

Above all, Kelley will be remembered for the joy he brought into the lives of others. His laughter, kindness, and larger-than-life presence will be deeply missed, but his spirit lives on in the countless stories, smiles, and memories he leaves behind.

A graveside service will be held 11:00 am, Saturday, January 31, 2026 in McMinn Memory Gardens, Athens, TN.  A celebration of Kelley’s life will be held in Maryville, TN at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages acts of kindness or service in his memory living fully, loving openly, and helping others, just as Kelley did. Donations may also be made to the American Diabetes Association, (https://tinyurl.com/3su2tmt6) in his name.

He will be forever loved, forever missed, and always remembered.
