SHERRIE SUE PARKS JENKINS,  age 73 of Athens, Tn. passed away Tuesday, May 12, 2020, at her residence. She was born in Lampasas, Texas, resident of McMinn County, Tenn. most of her life, daughter of the late E. B. and Beulah "Boots" Parks and preceded in death by a son Kevin Grant Jenkins and two half brothers: Bill Henry and Norman Henry. She retired from Athens Utility Board and was a member of Englewood First Baptist Church. She was a former member of the Eastern Star.
Survivors:  Husband of 54 years: Larry Grant Jenkins of Athens, Tenn.  Daughter: Lisa Jenkins Cochran (Paul Toups) of Athens, Tenn., Three Grandchildren: Dylan (Shannon) Cochran, Breyanna Cochran, and Kaleb (Chelsa) Jenkins, Great Grandchildren: Mia Jenkins, Mason and Luke Wheeler, several nieces and nephews. 
Graveside services will be Saturday, May 16, 2020 in McMinn Memory Gardens with Rev. Carl Creasman officiating.
