Michael Lee Knox

Michael Lee Knox, age 71 of Cleveland, Tenn. formerly of McDonald, Tn. passed away Wednesday, May 20, 2020, at his residence. He was a native of McMinn County, son of the late William L. "Bill" and Lee Pardue Knox, and preceded in death by brother: James Donald "Don" Knox. He retired as a Senior Technical Coordinator from ECO Lab and was of the Baptist Faith. He was a veteran of Vietnam having served in the U. S. Army. He was was an avid golfer. When he was younger he served as a Volunteer Fireman for the Athens Fire Dept. 
Survivors: Son and Daughter-in-law: Chris and Mary Knox of Athens, Tenn. Two Grandsons: Jace and Zayn Knox and Granddaughter:   Elle Knox, Sister and Brother-in-law: Peggy and Butch Price of Athens, Tenn. Three Brothers and Sisters-in-law: Jerry and Kelly Knox of Armaug, Penn., Joe and Jeannine Knox of Athens, Tenn.,  and Warner and Teresa Knox of Rockingham, N. C. several nieces and nephews. 
Due to COVID-19 guidelines private services will be held with Rev. Jason Robertson officiating. . Friends and family may come by the funeral home from 2:00 P.M.- 6:00 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home. Interment will be in U. S. National Cemetery in Chattanooga with Military Honors.Those wishing may send condolences at www.laycock-hobbs.com/notices/Michael-Knox.
