Martha Louise Crass

Martha Louise Ridenour Crass, age 74 of Athens, passed away, Monday, September 2, 2019 at her residence. 
A native of Sweetwater and resident of McMinn County most of her life, she was a daughter of the late Fred J. and Gertie Riddle Ridenour, and was preceded in death by 2 brothers and sister-in-law, Charles and Linda Ridenour, David Ridenour; 1 sister, Brenda Moore; Special friends Robin and Eleanor Moore;  Father and Mother-in-law, James and Ella Rhea Crass.
She was a member of Valley Road Baptist Church and was retired from Thomas & Betts after close to 40 years of service.
Survivors:
Her husband of 49 years, Curtis Crass;
1 daughter and son-in-law, Denise and Eddie Blankenship of Athens;
1 son and daughter-in-law, Danny and Fawn Crass of Athens;
4 granddaughters and spouses, Cayci and Bradley Nabors, Brittany and Eric Cagle, Nicole and Mat Olenick and Brianna Crass;
5 great-grandsons, Jace Richeson, Maverick Nabors, Bryce Cagle, Colt Nabors and Tucker Olenick;
4 Sisters and brothers-in-law, Helen and Wayne Owens, Stella Wicker, Linda and Bob Graves, Judy Decamp;
1 brother Bobby Ridenour;
2 sisters-in-law and spouses, Bertha and Rickie Byrum, Ginger and Larry McDaniel;
Several nieces and nephews;
Funeral services will be 7:00 PM Friday, September 6, 2019 at Valley Road  Baptist Church with Rev. David Coffman and Rev. J.W. Smith Officiating.
Graveside services will be 11:00 AM Saturday, September 7, 2019 at McMinn Memory Gardens.  Active pallbearers will be Justin Roderick, Eric Cagle, Bradley Nabors, Wayne Owens, Larry McDaniel and Rickie Byrum.  The family will receive friends from 4-7 PM Friday prior to the service at Valley Road Baptist Church.  The family would like to extend a special thank you to all that came by and called and to Hospice of Chattanooga, Dr. Carter and her nurse Charlie for their care of Martha.
