Lewin Burt Shore

M.S.G.T. ,Lewin Burt Shore U.S. Air Force (Ret.), age 86 of Athens, passed away Friday, September 13, 2019 at Life Care of Athens. A native of Blue Ridge, Ga and a resident of McMinn County, he was the son of the late John Leslie and Elmer Florance Ledford Shore. He was a member of Mt. Harmony Baptist Church and was retired from the U.S. Air Force having served in theVietnam War and the Korea War. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Ann Shore (August 29, 2015) and daughter, Candace Delaine Shore Dennis (July 3, 2013) One brother Lloyd Shore.
Survivors
One son and daughter-in-law, Ricky andTresa Shore of Canton, Ga
Two brothers; Johnny Shore and Billy Shore and Two sisters; Verda Bright and Judy Millsaps. 4 grandchildren and spouses and 6 great-grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Thursday, September 19, 2019 in the chapel of Laycock-Hobbs Funeral Home with the Rev. Stanley Hammonds officiaitng. The graveside service will follow  at McMinn Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Thursday, September 19, 2019  from 12:00-2:00 PM before the service.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Wounded Warrior Projects,  Condolences may be sent to www.laycockhobbs.com/notices/Lewin-Shore  Laycock-Hobbs Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangements.
