Glenn Wade Harris

Glenn Wade Harris, age 63 of Athens, passed away, Thursday, September 5, 2019 at Starr Regional Medical Center-Athens.
A native and life-long resident of Athens, he was a son of the late Charlie Cleve and Mary Ethel Ashe Harris, and was preceded in death by a brother, Jack Edward Harris and a sister, Sarah Lou Hawkins.  
He was a member of West End Baptist Church and was formerly employed as a farmhand.
Survivors:
Wife of 27 years Linda Ann Moses Harris;
6 sisters, Margaret Hawkins of Cleveland, Anna Lunsford of Andrew, North Carolina, Patricia Phillips of Florida,  Margie Couey of Riceville, Lona Mae White of Athens, and Dorothy Sewell  of Tellico Plains; 
2 brothers, Joe Harris and Clyde Harris both of Athens;
Several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews;
Funeral services will be 7:00 PM Sunday, September 8, 2019 in the chapel of Laycock-Hobbs Funeral Home with Rev. Shane White officiating.
Graveside services will be 11:00 AM Monday, September 9, 2019 at McMinn Memory Gardens.  The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.
