Geraldine Jeralds Rollins

It is with great sadness that the family of Geraldine Jeralds Rollins announces her passing on Thursday, March 12, 2020, at the age of 84.
Geraldine was born on March 3, 1936 in Athens, TN, where she remained and made her home. Together with her husband, Robert "Bobby" Edwin Rollins, she raised two sons.
Geraldine loved to travel--and did often--but she was always happy to return to her hometown and her roots, particularly East Athens Baptist Church where she was one of the longest-active members and E.G. Fisher Library where she volunteered for many years.
Geraldine enjoyed most anything that she could do with her hands--gardening, cross-stitching, and turning the pages of a good book.  Her made- from-scratch baking and musical talents, especially on the piano and organ, enriched many lives, but it's her bright smile and sharp wit that will be most missed.  She was a strong woman who took pride in being fiercely devoted to her God, her family, and her loved ones.
Geraldine was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby.  She will be lovingly remembered by her sons Randy (Lana) and Rusty (Robin), and her granddaughter Alex (Michael) Barlok.
Funeral Services will be 3:00 PM Sunday, March 15, 2020 in the chapel of Laycock-Hobbs Funeral Home with the Rev. Jason Robertson officiating.
The family will hold a private graveside service at a later date.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM-3:00 PM Sunday prior to the service at the funeral home.  Those unable to attend may send condolences to www.laycock-hobbs.com/notices/Geraldine-Rollins.  Laycock-Hobbs Funeral Home in Athens is in charge of the arrangements.
