Doris Marie Sweeten

Doris Marie Sweeten of Englewood, died Monday, February, 24, 2020 at her residence.  A native of Chattanooga, and a resident of McMinn County since 1975, she was the daughter of the late George Washington and Ila Busby Austin. She was a member of Athens Church of Christ. where she was active in the Bear and Food Ministry and World Bible Study, and was retired from Plastic Industries. She was a volunteer at City Park Elementary School, and attended Cleveland State Community College. She was preceded in death by  her husband, John Maurice Sweeten. 
Survivors;
Two Daughters and son-in-law; Janice Wolfhagen of Athens and Connie and Robert Foster of Spring , TX
One sister, JoAnne McConnell of Hixson, TN
Grandchildren Farren Foster Hoffmeier and Joey Foster.
Graveside service will be 12:30 pm Thursday, February 27, 2020 at National Cemetery in Chattanooga with the Pastor Mark Littleton officiating. The family will meet at 8:00 pm Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2020 at Athens Church of Christ, 1016 North Ave. Athens, TN 37303 for an informal visitation..
