Cleeta Buckner

Cleeta Wallace Buckner, age 93 of Cleveland passed away, Friday, February 28, 2020 at Life Care Center of Cleveland.
A native and life-long resident of McMinn County she was a daughter of the late Reed "Pop" and Ruth Wallace, and was preceded in death by a brother, R.D. Wallace, Jr.; sister-in-law, Faye Wallace and  brother-in-law, Joe Crabtree.
She was of the Baptist faith and was a former employee of Niota Textile having retired in 1990.

Survivors include

• Sister, LaVonne Crabtree of Athens;
• Brothers and sisters-in-law:  George Arnold and Shirley Wallace of Orangevale, CA, Jerry and Sharon Wallace and Wiley Wallace all of Niota;
• 2 step-children and spouses, Raymond Gene and Ann Buckner of Maryville and Alma Casteel-Webb and Eddie of Englewood;
• Several nieces and nephews.

A special thank you to Randy Houston fro being her friend and caregier who was always there for her when he was needed.  Thank you to Willow Acres and the staff who loved her and cared for her.  Cleeta was provided love and friendship by the staff of Life Care Cleveland, TN especially Jim Mahill, Stephanie Spears, Rhonda Hooker, Jessica Trotter, Jeffery Spotwood, Lisa Greene, Amber Hartness and an extra special thank you to Haily Chewnig for being by her side as she left this earth and went to her heavenly home.  

Please join us for a short service (No visitation) Tuesday, March 3, 2020 at 12:00 pm at Laycock-Hobbs Funeral Home with Chuck Whittemore officiating.
