AMANDA ELIZABETH LINGERFELT KNOX,  age 95 of Niota, Tn. (Clearwater Community) passed away Friday, March 6, 2020, in Life Care of Athens, Tenn. She was a native and lifelong resident of McMinn County, Tenn., a daughter of the later  Ransom Harrison and Walcie Wattenbarger Lingerfelt and preceded in death by her Husband of 70 years: Alton Knox on August 23, 2019, Four Brothers: Ralph Lingerfelt, Bobby Lingerfelt, Ray Lingerfelt and Edward Lingerfelt. She formerly owned and operated Clearwater Market and was a Charter  Member of Clearwater Baptist Church. 
Survivors: Three Daughters and Sons-in-law: Jean Edwards of Knoxville, Tenn. , Ann and Dean Landreth of Riceville, Tenn., Kathy and Mark Cobble of Athens, Tenn., Four Sons and daughters-in-law: Bill and Janice Hughes of Athens, Tn., Don and Katherine Knox of Athens, Tenn., Jimmy and Jane Knox of Niota, Tenn., and Jeff and Tina Knox of Niota, Tenn., Two sisters and brother-in-law: Catherine and R. B. Dake of Athens, Tenn., and Ida Mae Kennedy  of McDonald, Tenn., Sisters-in-law: Bobbie Lingerfelt and Lois Lingerfelt both of Athens, Tenn., Blanche Neil of Cleveland, Tenn.,  Brothers-in-law: Ray Knox of Niota, Tenn. and Walter Knox of Cleveland, Tenn.,  14 Grandchildren, 18 Great Grandchildren, 2 Great Great Grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Fuuneral services will be 7:00 P.M. Sunday in the Chapel of Laycock-Hobbs Funeral Home with Rev. Greg McCosh, Rev. Martin Bowlin and Rev. Greg Hutsell officiating. Interment will be 11:00 A.M. Monday in Clearwater Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Grandsons and Great Grandsons. The family will recieve friends from 4-7 Sunday in the funeral home.
