William "Butch" Edward Crisp

William "Butch" Edward Crisp age 71 of Calhoun passed away Thursday October 11, 2018 at his residence. A native of Loudon, and a resident of Calhoun for the past 26 years, he was the son the late George and Helen Thompson Crisp. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church and  retired from Bowater Paper Company after 25 years of service. He was a member of Mableton Masonic Lodge #111  in Georgia. He was an old Ford enthusiast and loved to scuba dive. He referred to his wife as "The love of his life" and was a loving husband and father. He was preceded in death by one step daughter, Nikki Mae Holdaway.

Survivors include:

• Wife of 21 years Patsy Jenkins Crisp of Calhoun.
• Daughter, Ashley Elizabeth James of Kingston
• Step daughter; Elaine and Allen Cox of Independence, Va
• Grandchildren Zane Allen Cox, Eli Noah James, John Avery James,
• Brother and sister -in-law; G.W.  and Nancy Crisp of Loudon

The funeral service will be 2:00 pm Monday October 15, 2018 in the chapel of Rein-Sturdivant Funeral Home in Independence, Va.

The family will receive friends from 1-2pm before the service.

The family will also receive friends Saturday, October 13, 2018 from 2-4pm at Laycock-Hobbs Funeral Home in Athens,TN.
