William "Billy" David Hampton

WILLIAM "BILLY" DAVID HAMPTON,  age 59 of Athens, Tenn. passed away Wednesday, February 13, 2019, at his residence. He was a native and lifelong resident of McMinn County, Tenn. and preceded in death by his father: Luther E. " L. E. Slick" Hampton, and Brother: Mark Hampton. He was a former employee of Athens Supply Co. and Rock Springs Golf Course and was a timber cutter and sawmiller. He was of the Baptist Faith and was an avid hunter and fisherman.

Survivors:

• Mother: Rosezella Howard Hampton of Athens, Tenn., 
• Two Sisters: Janice and Wayne Brazzell of Athens, Tenn., Susie and Jay Vaughn of Franklin, Va., 
• Two Brothers: Kenny  and Jackie Hampton of Niota, Tenn., Luther "Bug"  Hampton, Jr. of  Athens, Tenn.,
• Several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, February 16, 2019 in the Chapel of Laycock-Hobbs Funeral Home with Rev. Adam Henry officiating.

Interment will follow in McMinn Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 Noon till 2:00 P.M. Saturday in the funeral home.

Active pallbearers will be Mark Howard, Glenn Shultz, Luke Hampton, Brandon Allen, Jeremie Brazzell, Buster Price and Joey Brazzell.
