Violet Elizabeth minge

Violet Elizabeth Minge, age 91, of Athens passed away peacefully surrounded by her family Thursday, Nov. 6, 2025 at her residence. A native of Riceville, Tenn. lifelong resident of McMinn County, and was the daughter of the late James Hubert and Edith Viola Womack King and was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Eugene Minge Three Brothers: Fred King, Carl King, Earl King and Sister; Hazel King Davis. She was a member of Athens Church of Christ..

Survivors include two daughters, Karen Minge Brown ( Greg) of Athens and Donna Minge Whitted (Darryl) of Athens; One grandson Zachary Benjamin Brown (Angie); three granddaughters, Jessica Whitted (Aaron) Lee , Hannah Brown (Christian) Collins, and Olivia Brynne Whitted (E. B.) Slouka; Seven Great Grandchildren: Mia Brown, Eva Brown, Harper Lee, Weston Lee, Meghan Lee, Owen Collins, and Carson Collins, several nieces and nephews. Brother: Ray King of Riceville, Tenn. Sister: Joyce King Howard Riceville, Tenn.

Graveside services will be 11:00 A.M. Tuesday in McMinn Memory Gardens with Ministers: Terry Stuart and Philip Womack. Active pallbearers will be Deacons of Athens Church of Christ. There will be no formal visitation. Memorial Contributions may be made to Athens Church of Christ Youth Group or St. Judes Children Hospital.
