Shirley Effie Wallace

Shirley (Westmann) Wallace, age 69, of Niota passed away the morning of Tuesday, January 23, 2018, surrounded by family.  Shirley was born June 3, 1948, in Minot, North Dakota to the late Andy and Selma Westman.  She was an active member of Niota Methodist Church and a member of the choir.  She was a volunteer at Miss Sephie's.  She was a member of the Athenian Chapter of O.E.S. 159, and the Red Hats Royal Stars 79768.  Shirley was a proud military spouse for 26 years and devoted wife and mother.  She loved to travel, spend time with her family, work in her yard along with many other hobbies.

Survivors:

• Daughter: Pauline (Greg) Taylor of Somerville, AL
• Daughter: Jennifer (Mike) Conner of Garland, TX
• Five Grandchildren: Michael and Tara Taylor, Matthew (Brianna Steitz), Conner and Lauren (Dylan Pike) Conner, Brittany (Dillon) Muzzuca
• Three Great-granddaughters:  Charli Rae Taylor, Hallie Steitz and Emery Conner
• Sister: Sharon (Don) Reiswig
• Brother: Roger (Grace) Westman
• Many nieces and Nephews.

Funeral services will be 12:00 PM Saturday, January, 27, 2018 at Niota Methodist Church with Pastor David Neel officiating

Burial will follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery

Pallbearers will be Michael Taylor, Matthew Conner, Dillion Mazzuca, Dylan Pike, Matthew Wallace, and Jeremy Wallace.

The body will lie-in-state from 11 AM to 12 PM Saturday at the church. 

The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 PM at Laycock-Hobbs Funeral Home with the Eastern Star funeral to follow at 7 PM.
