SHIRLEY WALKER SCHULTZ,  age 83 of Athens, Tenn. passed away Thursday , November 8, 2018, in Starr Regional Health and  Rehab. in Etowah, Tenn. 
 She was a native and lifelong resident of McMinn County, Tenn. a daughter of the late Fred and Eula Withrow Walker and preceded in death by sisters:  Helen Trotter, Maxine Holland, Diane Pierce, Gail Everett, Gaynelle  Walker  and  Brother: Hoyle Lee Walker. She retired from Textron. She was a Founding and lifelong member of Woodward Ave. Church of God.  She sang in the radio trio alongside Genia Shell Chastain and Betty Miller Glair and was a member of The Coleman Trio and longtime member of the Woodward Ave. Church of God Choir.  
Survivors: Daughter and Son-in-law: Kim and David Passmore of Athens, Tenn. Three Sons: Keith Schultz of Athens, Tenn., Fred Schultz of Athens, Tenn., Benjamin  "B.J." Schultz of Athens, Tenn., Four Grandchildren: John Keith Schultz, Lacey and Chad  Starkey, Savannah and Russ  Blair, and Harper Sloan Schultz, Five Great Grandchildren: Savannah-Claire Starkey, Scarlett Starkey, Sailor Starkey, and Beau Blair, Braxton Blair Two Sisters: Delores Barnett of Athens, Tenn., Carol Pippenger of Cleveland, Tenn.,. Special Friends: June Duggan and Jackie Lee
Funeral services will be 7:00 P.M. Friday in the Chapell of Laycock-Hobbs Funeral Home with Rev. Clifford Waters and Rev. Wayne Fritts officiating. Interment will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday in McMinn Memory Gardens with Dr. Chris Thomas officiating. Active pallbearers will be Mike Trotter, Marc Walker, Jeff Barnett, Joe Barnett, Phil Pippenger, Andy Pippenger, and Zack Davis. The family will recieve friends from 5-7 Friday in the funeral home.
