Sheila Marie Hicks

Sheila Marie Thompson Hicks, age 61 of Madisonville passed away Thursday, March 31, 2022 at Sweetwater Hospital. A native of Plant City, Florida  and resident of McMinn/Monroe County most of her life. She was of the Baptist faith. She was a loving mother and her grandchildren were her world. She was preceded in death by her sister, Melissa Thompson, brother, Jackie Renslow, and son-in-law Kevin Graves.
Survivors include;
One son and daughter-in-law, Wayne Jr. and Cayci Hicks of Englewood; Two daughters and son-in-law, Autumn Graves of Athens, and Ashley and Kris Kinzalow of Cleveland; Special niece, Morgan Thompson of Cleveland; grandchildren, Lily Graves, Nolan Graves, Maddy Hicks, Hallie Hicks, Kendall, Kiley and Kaydence Kinzalow; Father of her children, Wayne Hicks, Sr. of Englewood; Parents, Curtis and Mildred Fain Culberson of Englewood; Brother and sister-in-law, Mike and Tammie Renslow of Plant City, Florida; Sisters and brother-in-law; Teresa and Mitchell Hensley of Centre, Alabama; Carolyn and Eddie Quertermous of Athens; several nieces and nephews. Mother and Father-in-law, Donald (Pop) and Nancy Hicks of Madisonville; brother and sister-in-law, Darryl and Carmen Soto Hicks of Antigua, Guatemala. Funeral service will be 4 pm Sunday, April 3, 2022 in the chapel of Laycock-Hobbs Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Bill Vest officiating. The graveside will be 1pm Monday, April 4, 2022 at Fain Family Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Mitchell Hensley, Mike Renslow, Michael Eaton, Eddie Quertermous, Phil Graves, Kris Kinzalow, Wayne Hicks, Sr. and Glenn Barnett.  The family will receive friends from 2-4pm Sunday before the service at the funeral home.  The family would like to express a very special thank you to Dr. Ballay, Dr. James and the patient care staff at Sweetwater Hospital especially her nurses:  Kelley, June, Erica, Justin and Mike.  Those unable to attend may send condolences to www.laycockhobbs.com/obituaries/Sheila-Hicks Laycock-Hobbs will be in charge of the arrangements.
