Sarah Joyce "Tinker" Martin, age 87 of Englewood passed away, September 18, 2025 at her residence.

A native and life long resident of Englewood she was a daughter of the late Joseph Larkin and Rossie Gay Casteel and was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Wayne Martin who was a veteran of the U.S. Army, son Marlon Keith Martin and 9 siblings Zella Mae "Curly" Liner Patton, Addi Ruth Burger, Robert Casteel, J.M. Casteel, Kenneth Ray Casteel, Sherman Othel Casteel, Vivian Marie Webb, Faye Marie Bridges Harris and Leonard "Link" Casteel. Mother-in-law and Father-in-law, Edith Ferguson Martin and Henry Martin

She was a member of First Baptist Church of Englewood. She was an avid gardener with a green thumb, she loved nature and her family. She had been Mary Kay Cosmetics consultant, loved working at Shelley's, was a volunteer at the Englewood Textile Museum and Company Store and sold advertising at WENR radio.

Survivors:

4 daughters and sons-in-law, Sheila and Ricky Holden of Englewood, Karla Masengil, Ginger Martin both of Athens and Allyson and Jim Kirkland of Etowah;

1 sister Alice "Aleo" Partain of Athens;

1 daughter-in-law Dianne Brown Martin;

3 Sisters-in-law, Eileen Carver, Cat Casteel and Alma Casteel

12 Grandchildren and spouses, Clint and Michelle Holden, Meridith and Kevin Hammond, Brandy Brown Peake, Carrie Steffa, Macey and Erik Garkovich, Cassie and Chris Kile, Caleb and Lacey Martin, Conor and Christin Kirkland, Cody and Kayla Martin, Zyan Kirkland, Michael Martin, Campbell Kirkland;

12 great-grandchildren, Mayleigh Steffa, Karleigh Steffa, Lonnah Steffa, Ayden Steffa, Hunter Peake, Bryce Hammond, Ava Peake, Rylee Kile Aubrey Peake, Caroline Hammond, Carter Holden, Reid Holden, Easton Martin, Penelope Garkovich, Clay Kirkland, Luke Martin and expected baby girl Kirkland in February.

Several nieces and nephews

Graveside services will be 2:00 PM Sunday, September 21, 2025 at Zion Hill Cemetery with Rev. Russ Maples officiating, family and friends are welcome to attend. Active pallbearers will be her Grandsons.

There will be no formal visitation.
