Ronny Cecil Coffey

RONNY CECIL COFFEY, age 64 of Athens, Tenn. passed away Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2019, in Wood Presbyterian Home in Sweetwater, Tenn. He was a native and lifelong resident of McMinn County , a son of the late Bruce Kenneth and Marie Jackson Coffey, and preceded in death by brother: Bruce Kenneth Coffey, Jr.  Ronny was self employed in construction and timber harvesting. He was a member of Clearwater Baptist Church. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed bear hunting. 
Survivors: Daughter and son-in-law: Tabetha and Adam  Hickman of Roane County, Tenn., Son: Stockton Coffey  of Athens, Tenn. Two Brothers and sister-in-law: Dr. Ben and Patsy Coffey of Sweetwater, Tenn. Timothy Coffey of Palm Beach, Fla.   Two Sisters and Brothers-in-law: Judy and Vernon Darnell of Cleveland, Tenn., Debbie and Scott Brakebill of Chattanooga, Tenn. several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. 
Funeral services will be 7:00 P.M. Friday in the Chapel of Laycock-Hobbs Funeral Home with Rev. Bryan Coffey and Rev. Greg Hutsell officiating. Interment will be 9:30 A.M. Saturday in Clearwater Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be  Jeff Darnell, Bryan Coffey, Scott Coffey, David Darnell, Joey Newman, and Albert Rucker.
