Robin Denise Beddingfield

Robin Davidson Beddingfield was born in Summerville, South Carolina on July 7, 1963, and on January 28, 2026, she went home to be with her Heavenly Father, surrounded by the love of family and friends. Though her passing leaves an immeasurable void, her life leaves behind a legacy of faith, compassion, and selfless service that will endure.

Robin devoted her life to Christ and to caring for others through her calling as a nurse at NHC, where she served faithfully for more than 25 years. Nursing was never just a career, it was an extension of her heart. She was known for her steady presence, gentle spirit, and deep compassion, offering comfort, dignity, and kindness to every patient and colleague she encountered. Through countless quiet acts of care, she changed lives in ways only a servant’s heart can.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Steve Beddingfield, and her mother, Linda Jane Davidson. Robin is survived by her children, daughter Meneka (Josh) Sherlin and son William Joshua McKenzie; her father, William Glenn Davidson; her siblings Bill (Jeannie) Davidson, Scott Davidson, and Christy Gilmore. She was a proud and devoted grandmother-“Mimi”-to Kylee Lyle, Spartan Lyle, Brynlee Sherlin, and Raven McKenzie, who were among her greatest joys.

Robin also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews who will forever remember her warm embrace, her gentle words, and the way she loved without condition. Her legacy lives on in every life she cared for, every family member she uplifted, and every quiet act of kindness she offered without expectation. Though she will be deeply missed, she will never be forgotten. Robin’s life reminds us that true greatness is found in service, love, and faith, and that the most beautiful legacies are written not in accomplishments, but in hearts forever changed.

Funeral Services will be 6:00PM Wednesday, February 4, 2026 in the chapel of Laycock-Hobbs Funeral Home with the Rev. Greg Hutsell officiating. Graveside services will be 2:00 PM Thursday, February 5, 2026 at Roane Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 4-6 PM Wednesday prior to the service at the funeral home.
