Richard Jay Parker

RICHARD JAY PARKER, age 70 of Etowah, Tenn. passed away Thursday March 27, 2025, at his residence. He was a native of Chattanooga, Tenn., resident of McMinn County for over 35 years, a son of the late Norman L. and Mary H. Farmer Parker, He retired from Omni Services and was a member of Allen Memorial United Methodist Church where he sang in the choir. He was a member Etowah Masonic Lodge #653, Reliance Masonic Lodge #636, Chilhowee Alhambra Shrine, and Englewood Eastern Star. He was a member of The Gem Players and Athens Community Theater.

Wife of 22 years: Ella Smith Parker of Etowah, Tenn., Daughter: Sarah Diggs of Etowah, Tenn. Son: Daniel Diggs of Seattle, Wash. Brother: Ken (Jan) Parker of Chattanooga, Tenn., Niece: Sarah (Chris) Newby and their daughters: Tinsley and Madison,

Funeral services will be 7:00 P.M. Thursday, April 3, 2025, in Allen Memorial United Methodist Church with Rev. Steve Yeaney officiating. A Masonic service will be held prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Shriners Hospital. The family will receive friends from 5-7 Thursday at the church. Condolences may be made to
