Patricia Marie King

PATRICIA "PAT" M. KING, age 72 of Athens, Tenn. passed away Monday, July 29, 2024, at her residence. She was a native and life long resident of McMinn County, a daughter of the late John Temmer and Emma Lucille Griggs Russell, and preceded in death by Son: Brian Layman and Daughter: Penny Layman Brother: Jim Russell and Sister: Jean Wilcox. She was a former employee of Goody's Dept. Store and Roses. 

Survivors: Husband: James King of Athens, Tenn., Grandchildren: Samantha (Brandon) Burns, Dakota (Autymn) Alexander, and Makayla (Jessie) Willoughby, Kaid Layman. Sister: Jane (Skip) LeQuire of Friendsville, Tenn.

Funeral services will be 7:00 P.M. Wednesday in the Chapel of Laycock-Hobbs Funeral Home with officiating. Interment will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday in Cedar Grove Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Kaid Layman, Dakota Alexander, Brandan Burns, Don King, and Michael Johnson. The family will receive friends from 5-7 Wednesday in the funeral home.
