I have known Mart most of his life. I always, remember when we entered the family business; Mart always met us with a smile that would light up a room. May memories of Mart's life well-lived bring peace and comfort to each family member as you go through the times of loneliness and sorrow. May you sense the prayers and God's love and presence at this sad time.

We remember Mart not only as a wonderful man of God who always reflected the love of Christ but also had a gentle and genuine nature that was fun to be around. He always enjoyed the Clark family reunions and brought his beautiful family with him, and they were great fun. Mart was someone anyone could look up to as a loving husband, devoted father, and man who bore fruit for Jesus Christ all his life. Wilma was by his side and together, they became an inspiration during their 50 years of marriage to other young couples, family, and friends.

It has been my privalige to know Mart most of our respective lives as I was a teenager when he was saved and started preaching. We, of course, went different ways as God led us in different directions. However it has been wonderful that both of us returned to Athens and First Baptist Church in our later years. Roberta and I enjoyed several years in Sunday School where Mart was our teacher. Our heart goes out to Wilma and all of the family in this time of sorrow but we know that they each know that this is what all Christians look forward to and we know that Mart is at home in the Fathers House now. We pray for God's blessings to be on each of you and that you will feel God's loving arms around you at this special time.
