MARGARET MORROW HUMBERT ELROD, age 89 of Athens, Tenn. passed away Saturday, Jan. 15, 2022, in Life Care of Athens. She was a native and lifelong resident of McMinn County, Tenn. a daughter of the late Sterling Franklin and Lucy Belle Odom Morrow and preceded in death by her First Husband: Issac Eugene Humbert Second Husband: William Kermit Elrod and son Timothy R. Humbert, Sr. Son: Bill Elrod, Brothers: William Morrow, Frank Morrow, Sisters: Catherine Burns, Elenora Casteel and Dora Jolley, . She was a former employee of REVCO and retired from CVS. She was a charter member of Woodward Ave. Church of God.
Survivors: Son: Terry Humbert of Loudon, Tenn. Daughter-in-laws and husband: Karen Humbert and Bill Sluder of Charleston, Tenn. Daughter: Colleen Elrod McDaniel of Athens, Tenn., Sister: Mildred Smith of Athens, Tenn. Six Grandchildren, Fifteen Great Grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 7:00 P.M. Thursday, January 20, 2022 in Woodward Ave. Church of God with Preston Moser and Kellie Knapp officiating. Interment will be 11:00 A.M. Friday, January 21, 2022 in McMinn Memory Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Travis Humbert, Tyler Humbert, Timothy Humbert, Todd Humbert, Steve Knapp, and Kyle Hensley. The family will receive friends from 5-7 Thursday at the church.
