Lillie Viola Davis

Lillie V. Davis, age 97 of Athens passed away Friday, July 24, 2026 at NHC Healthcare of Athens.

A native and life-long resident of Athens she was a daughter of the late Greely and Ora Mae Stansberry Davis and was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Davis.

She was of the Baptist Faith. She was a former employee of Newton's Restaurant and ABB where she retired after years of service.

Survivors:

1 daughter and son-in-law, Cynthia and Tom Gruebnau of Bull Valley, IL

3 grandchildren and spouses, Jimmy and Tina Gruebnau, Cheryl and

and John Gruebnau great grandchildren

Special Niece and husband, Lorrie and David Haney of Athens

Several great-nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews

Memorial Services will be 6:00 PM Saturday, August 8, 2026 at Woodward Ave. Church of God. Graveside Services will be 11:00 AM Monday August 10, 2026 at Cedar Grove Cemetery.
