Kenenth Gordon Burke

KENNETH GORDON BURKE, age 96, of Athens TN., passed away Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at NHC of Athens. A native and lifelong resident of McMinn County, he is the son of the late Wallace Parker and Mattie Viola Morrow Burke. He is preceded in death by his wife of 71 years, Martha Ellen Plemons Burke; and Brother, Harold Lynn Burke.

He was a veteran of the Korean War and recipient of a Purple Heart and Bronze Star. Kenneth's passion was being a Ham radio operator.

He also enjoyed fishing and hunting with his family and friends.

Daughter and spouse: Connie (Victor) Ricks;

Brother, Charles (Vicki) Burke.

There will be a graveside service on Friday, August 7, 2026, at 11:00 am in McMinn Memory Gardens with Bob Miller officiating.
