Concern and best wishes to the family and many friends of Johnny. Growing up across the ridge from Idlewild, competing against several of the Grubbs in grade school and admiring this fine family was just the start. Watching each family member mature and contribute has been a lifetime pleasure. I join the many who congratulate Johnny for a life well lived.

Was fortunate enough to to play under coach Grubb for 1-yr at McMinn Co as a Cherokee. Like many others, I appreciate the fact that he made me a better person and helped to prepare me for my life ahead. He was a good man and will be missed. Rest In peace coach.
