JOHN CURTIS MILLER, age 82 of Englewood, Tenn . went to his heavenly home Monday, July 14, 2025, where he was reunited with his beloved "Joy" Wife of 63 years Joyce Ann Miller. He was a native and lifelong resident of Englewood, Tenn. and preceded in death by Parents: Lester and Nettie Golden Miller , Sisters: Joyce Greene, Helen Ruth McNary, Frances Frye and Mary Burris. Brother: Paul Miller. He was a longtime member of Church of God at McMinn County and along with his wife he owned and operated Millers Wholesale Carpet. He was born and lived on the family farm where he loved the farming life.
Survivors: Two Sons and daughters-in-law: Johnny (Kathy) Miller of Dalton, Ga. Mitchell (Marla) Miller of Englewood, Tenn., Daughter: Angie Miller of Englewood, Tenn., Two Sisters: Carolyn Newman of Englewood, Tenn. Betty Hayes Athens, Tenn., Brother: Ronnie Miller Riceville, Tenn., Grandchildren and spouses: Mallory (Boomer) Bates, Alise (Tony) Holt, Sarah (Dion) Johnston, Jessica (Grant) Sewell, Jordan (Priscilla) Miller, Jonathan (Diana) Miller, Jason (Ashlynd) Miller and Justice Miller 17 Great Grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 Noon Saturday in the Chapel of Laycock-Hobbs Funeral Home with a Graveside service to follow at 1:00 P.M. Saturday in Sunrise Cemetery with Rev. Floyd Duncan and Steven Hayes officiating. Active pallbearers will be Jordan Miller, Jonathan Miller, Jason Miller, Justice Miller, Tony Holt, Grant Sewell, Boomer Bates, and Dion Johnston.
