John Hall Huston

John Hall Huston, age 89 of Athens gained his heavenly wings after a tough battle with cancer on Friday, February 21, 2020 at his residence.
A native of Los Angeles, CA and resident of Athens since 1999, he was a son of the late Edwin Hall and Josephine Bliss Huston and was preceded in death by his grandparents; a son, Larry Huston; and 2 sisters-in-law, Johnnie Roberts Dennis and Mabra Roberts Johnson.
He was of the Methodist faith and was retired from OTI in California, where he worked as a machinist, after more than 20 years of service.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served as a Paratrooper in the Korean Conflict.
Survivors:
His wife of 55 years, Ruby Roberts Huston;
1 son, John Charles Huston;
2 Brothers-in-law and spouse,  Earl Roberts, Richard and Martha Roberts  all of Athens.
1 sister-in-law, Virginia Roberts of Athens;
2 special nieces, Darlene Thornton and Michelle Hatfield.
Several other nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
