John David Brock Jr

John David Brock, Jr., age 86 of Athens, passed away Monday, October 24, 2022 at his residence. John was a native of Dalton, Georgia and a son of the late John David,Sr. and Betty Johnson Brock. He was a graduate of the University of Georgia, and member of Eastanallee Baptist Church where he was a Sunday School; teacher and deacon. He served in the Air Force Reserves and was an Industrial Engineer who worked for Jackson Manufacturing and Crescent Hosiery Mill. He was a Home Bound teacher, traveled the world with the Boy Scouts of America and was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia "Carlene" Brock (June 9, 2019) and sister Louise Rittenhouse.
Survivors include; one daughter and significant other, Susan Moses and Tim Bookout of Athens; one son and daughter-in-law, Andy and Jill Brock of Johnson City, Tennessee; One brother, Jim Brock of Rocky Face, Ga; and three grandchildren,  Olivia Moses, Lily Brock,and  Baylor Brock.
The graveside service will be 4:00 pm Monday, October 31, 2022 at Eastanallee Cemetery with the Dr. Mike Frazier officiating.
