Jeffery "Jay" Houston Johnson

December 2, 1972 — October 8, 2025

Maricopa, AZ

Mr. Jeffrey Houston Johnson, 52, of Maricopa, AZ, known to his family and friends as “Jay” and “Jeff”, companion of Natalie Miller, entered into rest suddenly, following a brief illness, while working in South Carolina.

Born in Athens, TN, he was the son of the late James “Red” Hardin and Gladys Evelyn Myers Johnson. Jeff’s work history was somewhat diverse. He graduated from Barber College, Trained K-9’s, and at the time of his sudden passing, he was an Estimator with Energy Solutions.

Jeff was a proud Mason. He was a member in good standing of the Thomas A. Hamilton Masonic Lodge #317 F and AM in Riceville, TN, where he was raised to the sublime degree of a Master Mason.

Jeff loved playing pool, spending time at the gun range, riding motorcycles, and AEV vehicles. However, nothing made him happier than spending time with Natalie Miller, his companion and best friend, and speaking to and spending time with his boys, Jonas Johnson (Honor Worthy) and Lucas Johnson.

Along with his devoted companion, Natalie Miller, and his boys, Lucas and Jonas Johnson, Jay (Jeff) is missed, loved; his life left a lasting impression on the hearts of his siblings, Mike (Annette), Tim (Debbie), and Ed (Stacey) Johnson, as well as his extended family and many friends.

Plans for a Celebration of Life Service are still in the works and will be announced as soon as they become available.
