James Edward “Jim” Gesicki, 83, of Loudon, TN, died peacefully on September 5, 2026.
Born June 27, 1943 in Chicago, James lived in several places over the course of his life, including the Tampa Bay area of Florida, before making his home in Loudon. He served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. For many years he worked for the City of Largo as a heavy machine operator and environmentalist. He had a strong Christian faith.
In his earlier years, Jim loved running marathons and sailing. Later in life he was happiest on board a cruise ship or at the family’s “Cabin in the Sky” in the Tennessee mountains. What he liked even more was watching his family enjoy those places with him.
James is survived by his wife, Connie; his daughter, Sherri; his stepdaughter, Christina Anderson and her family; his sister, Dianne Hawkins; and his nephews Rickie and Chad Bill, and cousin Chan Patrick.
A private memorial will be held for close family.
