Jack L. Isbill, age 84 of Athens TN, passed away Monday evening, July 20, 2026 at his residence. He was born on August 8, 1941 in Etowah, Tennessee. He was the son of the late Barney Marion Isbill and Mary Ruth Haney Isbill.
Jack is survived by his wife Tyresha Watts Isbill, son Jackie L. Isbill, Jr., daughter Leslie Paige Moore (Greg), and grandchildren Killian Isbill, Cynthia Coleman (Aaron), Brittany Chilton (Chris), Alexandra Zlotak (Aidan), and Caroline Grace Moore, and four special great grandsons.
Jack graduated from McMinn County High School in 1960. He served proudly in the Army National Guard as a young man. Jack retired as manager with AIG in 2009.
When his grandson joined scouting in 1999 Jack began volunteering. He spent several summers at Skymont and Camp Buck Toms where he served as Shooting Sports Director. He later started Crew 108 at Chilhowee Rod and gun Club. Jack served on numerous committees and received the Silver Beaver Award from the National Council of the Boy Scouts of America. He treasured the adventures shared and the time spent working with young people, their families and the wonderful friends he made along the way.
