Hunter Gleaton

Hunter Cy Gleaton, age 30 of Athens, TN passed away Sunday, May 31, 2026.

He was born in Lakeland, Florida and was a resident of McMinn County.

He was a 2015 graduate of Meigs County High School.

Hunter was athletic, loved playing football as well as hunting and fishing and spending time with his family especially his son.

He had a big heart and was always there to help others. He loved his dog Bailey who would follow him around everywhere.

1 son, Thurston Gleaton;

Mother, Shannon Gleaton;

Father Cy Gleaton;

1 Sister, Carlee Gleaton;

1 Brother, Dylan Gleaton;

Grandparents, Rick and Marsha Robertson;

Grandparents, Pat Gleaton and Jo Heath;

Several Aunts, Uncles and Cousins;

Memorial Services will be 6:00 PM Thursday, June 4, 2026 in the chapel of Laycock-Hobbs Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM-6:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.
