Harold Clifford Turner, age 86 of Athens, passed away Saturday, October 20, 2018 at Starr Regional Health and Rehab.
A native of Visalia, California and life-long resident of Athens, he was a son of the late Ezekiel John and Julia Agnes Black Turner and was preceded in death by his step-mother, Fannie Starr Turner of Niota; 3 brothers and sisters-in-law John Winston and Lucy Morrow Turner, Jefferson Bruce and Dora Roderick Turner and James Paul and Martha Lee Turner; 3 sisters and 2 brothers-in-law, Anna Muriel Turner and Bill Vandauveer, Emma Sue Turner, Thelma Elizabeth Turner and Noel Mahoney.
He was a life long member of Athens First Baptist Church and was a retired from Mayfield Dairy after 20 plus years of service.
Survivors:
His Wife of 65 years, Alice Ruth Swafford Turner;
1 daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca "Becky" Lynne Turner and Stephen Mike Huskey of Etowah;
1 granddaughter, Renee Miklyn Huskey.
Several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 7:00 PM, Tuesday, October 23, 2018 in the chapel of Laycock-Hobbs Funeral Home with the Rev. Drew Byers and Ric Wilson officiating.
Graveside services will be 11:00 AM, Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at McMinn Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.
