Dear Gail, family, and friends,

It is a bitter-sweet moment to lose a brother in Christ. While we know he is rejoicing in God's presence, we offer our love and sympathy to you. My wife and I were blessed to travel to Ukraine with Gordon on mission trips. The memories of his service and the eternal results of his efforts will impact many for years to come. You are in our prayers.

Dear Gail and Family,
I am sorry for the loss of your husband and father. I talked to Gordon once about 1990 when I was doing some family research. Gordon's father, David, was a first cousin of my grandmother, Lillie Roderick Sharits of Athens. I have done a lot of research on the Roderick family and would like to send you a story I have written on our Rodericks. Our Roderick ancestors, Elisha, and his son Adolphus, both fought in the Civil War, and I have some interesting information about them. If you or your children are interested, please email me at stiles1950@gmail.com and I can send the story.

I have fond memories of Gordon when we were serving the Lord together as Deacons at Hixson First Baptist. Gordon was a man for God, thats as simple as it gets. I loved him like a brother. I was bless to be on 2 teams that served over seas in Ukraine and the memories and blessings I have from those times still to this day shape who I am as a man for God, a father and a husband. Thank you Gordon with my whole heart. Gods speed
