Geraldine Marie Lingerfelt

Geraldine Marie Lingerfelt, age 73 of Athens passed away, Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at Willow Acres Assisted Living.

A native of McMinn County and a life-long resident of Athens, she was a daughter of the late Verna Ree Kennedy and Allie Lee Lingerfelt, and was preceded in death by Allan Ray Lingerfelt, Ross B. Lingerfelt, Clyde Jay Lingerfelt.

She attended several different churches in the area and was retired from Thomas and Betts after 40 plus years of service.  She was a loving daughter, sister and aunt.

She is survived by:

• 5 nephews, Vance Lingerfelt, Russell Lingerfelt, Jeff Lingerfelt, Jason Lingerfelt and Rodney Lingerfelt;
• 5 great-nieces, Laura Lingerfelt, Tiffany Lingerfelt, Shea Parton, Bailey Lingerfelt, Chelsea Eaton
• 3 great-nephews, Isaack Lingerfelt, Gabriel Lingerfelt and Dustin Lingerfelt;

The immediate family will hold a private graveside service at a later date.   Active pallbearers will be her nephews and great nephew Dustin Lingerfelt.
