Fred Allen Shamblin

FREDDY ALLEN SHAMBLIN, age 60 of Athens, TN. passed away Wednesday, August 7, 2024 at his residence. A native and lifelong residence of McMinn County, Freddy was the son of the late Roy Frank and Anna Henry Shamblin. 

He was preceded in death by daughter; Amanda Shamblin, and Brother; Larry Shamblin.

He was an avid golfer and his favorite color was "Masters Green". He also loved Music and dancing. He worked for Johnson Controls for 35 years. 

Survivors; Wife; Peggy Shamblin, Sister; Mary Ann Price, Brothers and Sisters in law; Jerry (Renee) Shamblin and Sherman (Judy) Shamblin and several nieces and nephews. 

Funeral Services will be 4:00PM Saturday, August 10, 2024 in the chapel of Laycock-Hobbs Funeral Home with Jamie Lones officiating. Interment will follow at Eastanallee Cemetery in Riceville. Visitation will be from 2-4 PM in the chapel. Pallbearers; Logan Shamblin, Spencer Hall, Lynn Farris, Jamey Roberts, Tim Henry and John Leamon.
