Frances B. Jackson

Frances B. Jackson, 70, passed away peacefully on October 1^st, 2022, in her home in Athens, Tenn. surrounded by her beloved family members and best friend, Bella the Havanese dog. Frances was a lifelong resident of McMinn County, Tennessee, and was the daughter of John Bohannon, Jr. and Louease Leonard Bohannon. Frances retired from Steve Songer’s State Farm Insurance, a job she loved due to the new people she interacted with daily. She was a member of Clearwater Baptist Church.  

Frances is remembered as a caring mother to her 2 children, Chris Jackson and Kimm Cooper, as well as a loving, devoted wife of 53 years to her husband, Bobby Ray Jackson. When she wasn’t cleaning her already spotless house, she enjoyed watching Days of Our Lives and ALL court shows, especially Judge Judy. Frances was an avid shopper and loved to spoil her loved ones with gifts. She loved her dogs as if they were another one of her children and made frequent donations to the McMinn Regional Humane Society because of her extreme love for pets. 

Frances leaves behind her daughter-in-law, Fawna Jackson, and a son-in-law, Jon Cooper. She also leaves behind her sister, Carol Ellson, and her 5 grandchildren: Matthew Cooper, MacKenzie Didericksen, Megan Cooper, Fallon McKee, and Christian Jackson. She also leaves several nieces and nephews. 

The funeral service will be at 7:00 P.M. on Monday, October 3^rd, in the Chapel of Laycock-Hobbs Funeral Home, with Reverend Justin Brown officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 Monday in the Funeral Home. Interment will be at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday in Clearwater Cemetery.
