Eugene "Tiny" B. Willis age 101 of Athens passed away Wednesday, March 25, 2026 at Spring Arbor (Dominion) Assisted Living.

He was a native of Roane County and a resident of McMinn County most of his life. He was a son of late W. N.. and Victoria Brandon Willis and was preceded in death by his wife Glafrey Price Willis whom he married on October 14, 1950; 2 sisters, Ruth Overstreet and infant Nell Willis and 3 brothers, James Willis, Jack Willis and George Willis.

He was a longtime member of East Athens Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during WWII. He served during the invasion of France at Omaha Beach, the Battle of the Bulge and three other major Battles. He received the ETO Ribbon with Five Bronze Stars. He was employed as a Dental Technician having retired after 39 years.

2 nieces and spouses; Jean and Ray Harris,

Linda and Billy Dilbeck

2 great nieces and spouses; Kim and Corey Schiestel, Teresa and Lee Whitener;

Several Great-great nieces and nephews

Graveside services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, March 31, 2026 at McMinn Memory Gardens with Rev. Mike Dannel officiating. Active pallbearers will be Corey Schiestel, Joe Knox, Donny Anderson, Steve Norwood, Jerry Harris and Lee Whitener. Honorary pallbearers will be Ray Harris and his East Athens Church Family.
