Ethel Mae Copeland

ETHEL MAE BUNCH COPELAND, age 83 of Calhoun, Tenn. passed away Sunday , August 31, 2025, at her residence. She was a native and lifelong resident of McMinn County, Tenn., a daughter of the late John Taylor and Sitha Ann Houser Bunch and preceded in death by Sisters: Betty Bunch Swafford, and Jessie Bunch Swafford. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and farmer. She was a member of Bethel Springs Baptist Church.

Survivors: Husband of 64 years: James "Jim" Lee Copeland of Calhoun, Tenn., Son and daughter-in-aw: Bobby A. (Stephanie) Copeland of Calhoun, Tenn, Daughter and son-in-law: Lisa (Hal) Clark of Apison, Tenn., Five Grandchildren: Morgan and Cody Copeland, Emily Clark, Hunter and Garrett Hodge, Five Great Grandchildren: Paisley, Waylon, Cade, Briggs, and Hudson. Two Brothers: Steve Bunch,and Jimmy Carl Bunch of Short Creek Community. Two Sisters: Donna McDowell of Cosby, Tenn., Vickie Thornburg of Short Creek, several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be 1:00 P.M. Thursday in Bethel Springs Cemetery with Rev. Jimmy Lewis and Gene Guffey officiating. Active pallbearers will be Bobby Copeland, Hal Clark, Cody Copeland, Hunter Hodge, Garrett Hodge, and Roger Swafford.
