Elois Bell Meeks Maynard

ELOIS BELL MEEKS MAYNARD, age 85 of Athens, Tenn. passed away Friday, July 24, 2026, at her residence. She was native of New Hope, Ala. residence of McMinn County since 1977, former resident of Huntsville, Ala. a daughter of the late Cleveland Henry and Lillie Bell Martin Meeks and preceded in death by Three Sisters: Clara Mae Passon, Irene Hubbard, Linda McBride, Two Brothers: T. Meeks and Leroy Meeks. She retired from Wal-Mart and was a member of Mt. Harmony Baptist Church in Riceville, Tenn.

Survivors: Five Daughters: Patsy Goolsby, Sherry (Johnny) Williams, all of Athens, Tenn., Lisa (Norman) Finnell of Panama City Beach, Fla. Sandra Moore and Cathy Britton both of Huntsville, Ala. Son Ricky Walls of Athens, Tenn., Eight Grandchildren, Josh Goolsby, Ron Ivey, Shay (Justin) Dexter, Kara (Eric) Hatfield, Corey (Kristina) Finnell, Kyle (Margaret) Finnell, Kaleb Finnell, Robert Joseph Britton(Deceased) and Hannah Britton, Great Grandchildren: Jordon , Kenedie, and Jase Goolsby, Lane Silver, Ian and Evan Ivey, Collin and Brycen Dexter, Zander and Eli Hatfield, Two Great Great Grandchildren, Brooke and Scarlet Finnell, several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday in Hammonds Cemetery Rev. Garry King officiating. There will be no formal visitation. A celebration of life will follow the graveside service at Mt. Harmony Baptist Church in Riceville, Tenn. Active Pallbearers will be Johnny Williams, Ricky Walls, Josh Goolsby, Justin Dexter, Zander Hatfield, and Eric Hatfield.
