Elizabeth Nathemia Farris

ELIZABETH NATHEMIA MONROE FARRIS,  age 83 of Athens, Tenn. passed away Saturday, April 13, 2019, at Tennova of Turkey Creek in Knoxville, Tenn. She was a native and lifelong resident of McMinn County, Tenn. a daughter of the late Joseph Neil and Emmaline Wattenbarger Monroe.  She was a homemaker and a member of Clearwater Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by:

• Her Husband: Harry Edwin Farris, Sr.,
• Three  brothers: An Infant Brother,  Melvin Monroe, and Sam Monroe,
• Two Sisters: Jewell Monroe and Polly Carpenter.

Survivors include:

• Four Sons and daughters-in-law: Eddie and Tonya Farris of Athens, Tenn., David and Denise Farris of Maryville, Tenn., Randy and Lisa Farris of Decatur, Tenn. Joe and Brenda Farris of Athens, Tenn. 
• Sister: Wilma Thornton of Athens, Tenn., 
• Six Grandchildren,
• Five Great Grandchildren,
• Several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, April 16, 2019 in the Chapel of Laycock-Hobbs Funeral Home with  Rev. Allen Farris officiating. 

Interment will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, April 17, 2019 in Clear Springs Cemetery. 

The family will receive friends from 5-7 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home. 

Active pallbearers will be Andrew Farris, Zach Farris, Daniel Farris, Eric Key, Alex Goodwin, Scott Thornton, and  Darryl Thornton.
