Earl Rogers

Earl Rogers age 88 of Loudon, passed away Monday, October 15, 2018 at Loudon Medical Center. He was a native of McMinn County and a resident of Loudon County for the past 50 years, and the son of the late Charles and Eliza Ward Rogers. He was a Mason at the Philadelphis Masonic Lodge, he loved welding, plumbing and gardening. He was very creative and loved to build. He taught sunday school at First Baptist church of Philadelphia for over 50 years. He also loved to care for his family and spent some time fishing. He was in the Korean War having served in the United States Navy and was preceded in death by wife Mary Edith Isbill Rogers, one son Terry Earl Rogers; nine brothers and sisters, Vancie Edgemond, Arvil Rogers, Agnes Edgemond, J.D. Rogers,  Bennett Rogers, Alvin Rogers, Grover Rogers, George Rogers, Betty Kennedy.

Connie and Jay Johnson of Milledgeville, Ga
Three Grandchildren and spouses, Barry and  Koda Rogers of Lenoir City, Amanda and Levi Greene of Gray, Ga, John and Catie Mae Johnson of Salt Lake City, Utah,
 Four Great grandchildren, 
Nate Rogers and Daniel Rogers, Tessa Greene, Penelope Johnson.
Several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be 7:00 pm Wednesday, October 17, 2018 in the chapel of Laycock-Hobbs Funeral Home with Pastor Gene Russell officiating. The graveside will be 11am Thursday, October 18, 2018 at  at Idlewild Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-7pm Wednesday before the service at the funeral home.
