Dr. Charles David Keylon, age 78 of Athens, Tn. passed away Wednesday December 3, 2025, at his residence. He was a native and lifelong resident of McMinn County, a son of the late Arvil Roy and Beatrice "Bea" Haire Keylon and preceded in death by Brothers: J. R. Keylon, Bill Frank Keylon, and Tom Keylon. Sisters: Karen Keylon and Betty Burke. He was the former owner of Keylon Eyecare and a founding member and Deacon of Genesis Baptist Church.
Survivors: Wife of 57 years: Joyce Rae McDonald Keylon of Athens, Tenn., Two Sons: Dak (Tammy) Keylon of Murfreesboro, Tenn., Jason (Summer) Keylon of Athens, Tenn., Brother: Bob Keylon of Chattanooga, Tenn., Three Grandchildren, Matthew (Liadan), Sienna, and Sydney, several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 6:00 P.M. Friday, December 5, 2025 in the Chapel of Laycock-Hobbs Funeral Home with Rev. Pete Mullins officiating. Interment will be Private Family Service. The family will receive friends from 5-6 at the funeral home.
