Dr. Alan Scott Brock

Alan Brock, 43, of Athens, Tennessee, was a loving husband and father, cherished son and brother, and loyal friend whose life was defined by adventure, generosity, and a deep love for his family and community. Alan lived with an infectious enthusiasm for life and a heart that welcomed everyone around him.

Alan is survived by his beloved wife, Jennifer Brock, and their three children, Addison, Nathan, and Ethan, who were the center of his world. He is also survived by his parents, Randy and Kay Brock; his grandmother, Phyllis Brock, his sister, Kathryn Stamey (Ryan Stamey); his mother-in-law, Debbie Beasley (late father-in-law Dennis Beasley); his brother-in-law, Justin Beasley (Rachel); and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews who will miss him dearly.

An avid outdoorsman and adventurer, Alan enjoyed backpacking in the Smoky Mountains and traveling—especially to Zion National Park, a place he loved deeply. He found immense joy in photographing nature, capturing breathtaking images of the sky, piloting family and friends on trips to the beach, golfing with friends, launching rockets with the kids on weekends, fishing with Nathan and Ethan, and playing tennis with Addison. Above all, some of his favorite moments were the simple ones—spending time on the back porch with Jennifer and their family and friends, sharing laughter, stories, and the comfort of togetherness.

Receiving of family and friends will be held at Eastanallee Baptist Church on December 29th from 3:00–6:00 p.m., with a Celebration of his life immediately following. Family and friends are invited to gather to honor Alan’s life, share memories, and celebrate the legacy of love and joy he leaves behind.
