Douglas Arthur Sutton

DOUGLAS ARTHUR SUTTON, age 60, of Athens TN., passed away Wednesday, March 25, 2026 at his residence. Born in Chattanooga and a current resident of McMinn County, he is the son of the late Charles Henry and Agnes June Sutton.

He is preceded in death by Daughter, Jacqueline Alexandria Sutton; and many Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.

Doug was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend to all. He loved spending time with his family.

He loved his country and spent 8 years in the Navy. He also loved the 2nd Ammendment and all his guns. He opened his own Dental business where he literally made people smile. He loved all things outdoors and many sports. He also loved history. Doug loved coffee and some places even knew his order when he pulled in.

Wife of 35 years, Virginia Carolina Sutton; Daughter,

Kassandra Rochelle (Daniel Miracle) Sutton; 2 Sons and spouse, Logan Donovan Caleb Sutton, Morgan Duncan Joshua (Kaitlyn) Sutton; 2 Grandsons, Jamison Iver Boyd Sutton, and Isaiah Leander Ace Sutton; 2 sisters and spouse, Charlene (Troy) Daniel, and Belinda Sutton; 1 Brother and spouse, Charles Ray (Susan) Sutton; Several nieces, nephews and great nephews.

2 God-Children, Jayme Miracle and Heather Miracle.

Special Companions, 6 Great Danes.

Funeral services will be 7PM Monday, March 30, 2026 in the chapel of Laycock-Hobbs Funeral Home.

The visitation will be 5-7PM prior to the funeral service.

The graveside service will be 3PM Tuesday, March 31, 2026 at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery, Niota TN.
